The following list represents some of the questions prospective customers ask us most often. We've tried to anticipate some of your questions and provide helpful answers to them here. If you don't find the answer to your question here, we strongly encourage you to contact us.

How will I know if you are the right DJ?

Everything about Music Explosion DJ's is top of the line. We are full-time professionals, not djs in a box or home stereo djs. Anyone can pick out a song and put it into a cd player, but can they entertain or can they read a crowd to keep them on the floor dancing?

Mark Smith, the owner, is a Professional Master of Ceremonies and without that experience, your event could be a disaster. Experience and our committment to oustanding customer service is clearly what sets us apart from other disc jockey services.

What kind of music do you play?

Music Explosion DJ's carries the best music of every era on cd. We feature the best of the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, the disco era, along with the 80's, 90's, and all the current hits of today. Add some country, swing and a little jazz and you have the best music played on digital players for the best sound.

Our music is censored with radio clean edits. We don't play anything that would be offensive to anyone in the audience.

Let me know what you want to here. If we don't have it, we will get it. We welcome cds from the audience. If they are tasteful, we will play them.

How long do you play?

Most events last about four hours. If you would like cocktail music and / or dinner music, that option is available to you. Any event can be modified to your needs.

How do I know if you are a professional?

Mark Smith has been entertaining audiences for over 15 years. Music Explosion DJ's is a member of the National Association of Mobile Entertainers (N.A.M.E.). To be a member, disc jockeys must meet strict requirements established by these organizations.

Music Explosion DJ's is a fully insured to protect you and your guests.

What can I expect to pay for your services?

Music Explosion DJ's will customize a package that will meet your needs and your budget. We offer consultation on your event and will meet with you at anytime to discuss your event. Make an appointment and we can get all the details on paper.

When the event is set, I will send you a written contract that will guarantee that Music Explosion DJ's will appear. This is important when you select the DJ service for your event. If the DJ you select doesn't offer a written contract, you have no guarantee that they will show for your event or that they won't leave before the event is over.

In some cases, a $100 deposit may be required.

What about your set-up? How do you dress?

Music Explosion DJ's uses only the best sound and lights to make your event a total success. All music is digital and the sound levels are at your request. Our set-up is done before your guests arrive as long as the hall is made available to us before the event. We dress to fit the occasion.

What about equipment failures?

Don't worry, Music Explosions DJ' supplies back-up equipment at no extra charge to our clients.

Are you an interactive DJ?

Yes, we do use various methods to get the crowd involved. But remember---the level of interaction is entirely up to you!
